Star Trek: DS9/NEM Formal Uniform Sewing Pattern

This is a newly revised sewing pattern for the DS9/NEM men's formal uniform, which now includes an updated formal jacket pattern AND the accompanying formal trousers!

This pattern includes the officer, captain, and flag officer/admiral versions of the jacket (allowing the costumer to construct the version of their choice), and it comes in sizes S, M, L, XL, and 2XL.

We revised our jacket pattern's sizing to be more congruous with our other DS9/NEM sewing patterns and updated it to be even more screen-accurate than our original! We also now include both 1" and 1.5" collars for both straighter and more curved necks (a total of four collar options), making it that much easier for the costumer to achieve an ideal fit.

This uniform was extensively researched and meticulously drafted to be as screen-accurate in its construction as possible. The pattern includes information about the finished garment's measurements, all materials required, detailed instructions, and optional pocket placements inside the jacket to make it a more practical garment for public events.

Also included is a copy of our FREE in-depth PDF tutorial on CD! This contains a wealth of information not on the printed instructions, including a detailed analysis of the formal uniform's construction with accompanying HD images, known sources of the necessary materials (though these can vary from time to time), and acceptable "substitute" materials for those on a budget and/or with vegan sensibilities (as the originals were wool).

We created a brand new tutorial for the revised version of this pattern, and the tutorial instructions are accompanied by a multitude of pictures and diagrams, various sewing tips (and other options) along the way, and instructions for how to alter the pattern if necessary to achieve an ideal fit.

The pattern is printed on five sheets and a printed copy of text-only instructions is included in addition to the free tutorial.

  1. I received the blueprints and CD-rom on Friday. I could track the shipment during it's entire process in the USA. When it crossed into Canada I couldn't follow it from destination to destination.
The best thing about the shipping process is that I did not have pay any customs, import or excise taxes on the shipment.
ONce I start digging into the pattern I'll share some more.
